Man charged following a report of break and enter

On Friday, June 30, 2023 Smithers RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a commercial building on Alfred Avenue in Smithers.
As a result of the police investigation a suspect was identified, arrested, and has been charged. BC Prosecution Services have approved charges against Sylvester Gordon Joseph, 32 years old.
He has been charged with one count of Break and Enter and three counts of failing to comply with a release order. Joseph remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 18, 2023.
