Sidney/North Saanich RCMP looking for assistance from the public after local business broken into

Between the evening of October 23rd and the morning of October 24th unknown persons have broken into a local business on Beacon Ave in Sidney.

Sidney/North Saanich RCMP were made aware on Saturday morning when an alert citizen noticed that broken front glass of a business and called the police right away. Members arrived on scene shortly after, and determined the business had been broken into and some merchandise had been stolen.

In order to assist with the investigation, the Vancouver Island Forensic Identification Section was contacted and conducted a thorough examination of the evidence.

These types of incidents are rare in Sidney says Sidney/North Saanich RCMP Detachment Commander Wayne Conley, These investigations are taken seriously. Our detachment frontline members are working with both our General Investigation Section and our crime analyst on this incident
