File # 2024-4867_2024-3333

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is turning to the public for assistance, after the same church was broken into twice in one month.

On Feb. 17, 2024, around 9:15 a.m., police received a report of a break and enter that occurred over night at a church on the 300-block of Fortune Drive. The same church had been broken into on Feb. 2, 2024. Electronics and miscellaneous items were stolen in both instances, including televisions, stereos, microphones, and amps during the most recent incident.

We are reaching out to the public to please check their security and dash camera footage from Feb. 16-17, and Feb. 1-2, and to be mindful of any suspicious vehicles or people in the area, said Corporal Crystal Evelyn.

Anyone who witnessed, has security footage, or dash-camera footage that may be related is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-4867 or 2024-3333.
