Man with multiple warrants arrested in Kamloops

An assault investigation led Kamloops RCMP officers to a wanted man Saturday afternoon.

On Dec. 17, 2022, around 12:50 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance that had escalated to an assault at a motel on the 500-block of Columbia Street West. As part of the investigation, a man was arrested on multiple unendorsed warrants.

No charges were requested related to the assault.

Brandon Lee Toutsaint, 29, of Kamloops, is scheduled for a court appearance today, Dec. 20, 2022, in relation to his warrants for theft of motor vehicle, break and enter, drive while prohibited out of Elk Valley; and assault by choking, assault, breach of probation, theft, and two counts of mischief from Cranbrook.
