A report involving a burnt tent behind a commercial building on the 400-block of Tranquille Road saw a police presence in the area this morning.

No signs of human remains were present.

The fire department also confirmed it extinguished the fire around 3 a.m. that morning and that no was located in or around the tent, added Cpl. Evelyn.

Anyone with information related to the fire is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2022-40344.
