File # 2022-18693
Coquitlam RCMP is focusing the effort to locate Rabih Robby
Alkhalil, by releasing the photos of two suspects that helped him escape from North Fraser Pretrial Centre on July 21, 2022.
The Coquitlam RCMP is working closely with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC (CFSEU) and has engaged law enforcement agencies throughout BC on this active, priority search. Investigators are dealing with the possibility that Alkhalil is trying to flee by using his connections across Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. A Canada-wide arrest warrant and an Interpol Red Notice are being prepared.
Time is of the essence and we need your help to get Alkhalil’s face in every airport, train station, taxi, rental car or anywhere else that he may be hiding,
says Constable Deanna Law with Coquitlam RCMP. We are also hoping someone will recognize the photographs of two suspects who helped Alkhalil escape from jail. All three men are facing serious charges. If you see them, call 911 immediately.
Suspect 1 is described as:
- Caucasian man, appears to be in his thirties;
- Bald, with a narrow face;
- Arched eyebrows and a slightly crooked nose.
Suspect 2 is described as:
- Caucasian man, appears to be in his thirties;
- Bald, with an oval face;
- Light eyebrows and close-set eyes.
Alkhalil himself is described as:
- A Middle Eastern man who is 35-years-old;
- Short black hair and brown eyes;
- 5’10 tall (178 cm), and 166 lbs (75 kg).
The escape vehicle was a white Ford Econoline van. All the suspects were wearing high-visibility vests, but the public can expect that they have changed their clothes. Constable Deanna Law will be available to answer questions in a media availability at 2:00 p.m., July 22, 2022, at the Coquitlam RCMP Detachment, 2986 Guildford Way, Coquitlam.
If you have any information about the men who helped Alkhalil escape, call the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and ask for the Major Crime Unit. If you see the suspects, call 911 immediately.
