Police continue to investigate January arson

Prince George RCMP continues to investigate an arson that occurred on the 2500-block of Oak Street on January 21, 2024. Police officers responded to a fire at a residence shortly after 6:00 a.m.

The Investigative Services Team continues to collect information on this incident. Investigators are looking to speak with anyone that was in the area between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on the morning of the fire and witnessed anything suspicious. We are also looking to see if anyone driving through the neighbourhood has any dash camera footage or video surveillance from that time frame, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

There was one person inside the residence at the time of the fire; they did not suffer any serious injury in the incident and were seen by Emergency Health Services at the time of the event.
