The BC RCMP Major Crime Unit has arrested a 52-year-old man for the murder of John Vance

On June 25, 2021 at 5:46 a.m., Chase RCMP responded to a reported shooting in the 4100-block of Squilax-Anglemont Road in Scotch Creek BC. Front line officers responded to the scene where they found an adult man who had been shot and who subsequently died of his wounds.

On December 5, 2022 Paul Vincent Binder was charged with the murder of John Vance; Binder was subsequently arrested and is currently in custody pending future Court hearings.
