The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is looking for information that could help identify a suspect in a recent assault investigation.
On Saturday June 14, 2024, just before 11 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to the 900-block of Norview Drive for a report of a teenager who had been assaulted by a stranger about 10 minutes earlier, in his backyard. The victim’s injuries were minor.
The teenager was visiting family from out of town and it’s unknown why the stranger entered the yard, then physically assaulted the youth before running away,
said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. Police officers conducted neighbourhood patrols and inquiries, but were unable to identify a suspect.
The suspect is described as:
- Caucasian male
- Heavyset
- With old blisters or cuts on his knuckles
- Wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans with white paint stains around the shins
Anyone with information related to this ongoing investigation is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-18434.
